interesting! it actually IS a corporate holiday, just like Christmas and Easter and all the other American holidays (hmm? who is this "Christ" you speak of, I want presents and little colored eggs to find! ). That doesn't mean you can't send loved ones tokens of your love for them today though.

actually i pointed out the fact that christmas is a corporate holiday to a friend of mine today. all americans are stupid and ignorant. that is why you are of the supreme 3rd world culture moe khan

it SO is a coporate holiday and hallmark makes some major dough on valentines day. to me, you should send love notes to lovers any day you think of them and feel the love for them. You shouldn't follow the croud and send them just because thats what sheep do.

(thanks for the history lesson, i didn't know about the roman bit)
