thanks - although i can't exactly take credit for the expression since that came directly from the reference but glad that i pulled it off well then :D
This is breathtaking. Have you considered posting a larger version so people could appreicate all the brushwork you have done here? I find the work on the face and the highlights of wings and shield very interesting.
I don' know if you have clicked on the image twice - but that's as large as it gets in this post - which was the size it saved as as a jpeg; however, if you want bigger than the double clicked version I can see how resizing works (how the pixels work out,) and post it again later. Thanks for the compliment :D
I just realized where the big file went to: so the thumbnail is in the post - click that, that brings you to the lj gallery page - click that and it brings you to the image scaled down to fit the window - click that and it gives you full pizels which (in my opinion makes my work look sloppy lol) but there it is.
Thanks for the trip to your larger version. I don't think the brush work looks sloppy. There are a few areas that are a little...I don't know..pixelatied is the only way I can describe it at the edges of things, but these are very minor. The brushwork on the face at full pixel size is amazing. I can see now exactly why it took so long. I liked the preview size, but I adore the full sized version. Seeing every stroke makes it more interesting, and esthetically pleasing. Many people can do the smooth, blended anime-style thing, but it takes a lot of talent with colour and texture to do it the way you did and get it to work out.
