I left out a few bits in my review piece of 'Journey's End' just posted. Rather than edit that post and mess up the flow, I'll just add in this briefer scribble

Yeah- I'm pretty much in the same mindframe about all of it. Billie actually looked uncomfortable for the whole two episodes bar one or two scenes. I think she'd moved on and only came back to see old pals and please Russell who must have luvvied her to death to get her to agree to it. ANd I really do think it's time for DT to go- I like the guy, not as the be all and end all that teenage girls and guy-liner post-emo boys seem to think as they wipe up their drool every time David flashes his carefully outlined big eyes and gelled within an inch of it's life hair, but he's done a good job as the Doc and now, I feel it's time for him to move on. ANd for God's sake, will someone at the bbc or anywhere find Bernie Cribbons a role that puts him back up on top. The man is such a legend, and like Penny WIlton, shows us just how incredible talented older actors can be. Anyone preparing a top-notch political drama or show about a retired police detective or something that gives us plenty of BC screen time and juicy dialogue ?
Catherine is over for tea on Sunday, I'll pass it on if she stops doing 'Lauren' which gets really annoying, although then she'll do the Gran.
To be honest though, I'm getting a bit tired of David Tennant as well and his 'girning' faces. Maybe it's because I'm not a teenage girl or gay boy? That sounds a bit harsh, I know, but I like the guy and am just feeling it really is time for him to bow out gracefully rather than drag it on until he looks bored.
But then again, like you said, Stephen Moffat era- may improve things in the DT dept.
