I can empathize. My family's... not quite disowned me, but really frozen me out... because I'm not Catholic anymore. Sometimes you have to be you; you have to follow where your path takes you, wherever that may be. And it's hard when others aren't on the same page, or better yet simply okay with you being on a different page. I'm in the middle of a divorce right now, in part - though certainly not entirely - because my soon to be ex-wife made practicing any sort of spirituality next to impossible. Take care of yourself, and don't discount the value of simple meditations. I'm reading a book on quantum physics right now, really more of a layman's read, and one idea that keeps coming to the surface is that there is no definite reality until someone observes it. So awareness may be at the heart of magick, in the end. Blessed Be!
