OOC: History
As a child, A's parents were killed in a car crash, simple and clear. Soon enough he was sent away to the Whammy house, an orphanage for the clever and intelligent to study and be the greatest detective in the world, L. Always was always number one, all the time no matter what he did, at times he studied continuously but that is when he was a child. As soon as the newcomer, B, came, the second in line for being L, A befriended him immediately but that did not mean that A was a nice friend at all but they still gave each other nicknames such as Luxaky and Lue. Sure, everything at first was total bliss, the fun and games little boys played and working together with smiles and giggles but who would of ever thought that A was selfish and greedy, being prone to strong desires to be the best and megalomania? He would sabotage and threaten B but B had grown a twisted sort of affection for A - even when A would kick him and beat him to the floor, toss him to a wall and pummel him still he was black and bruised - because B was alone and didn't want to lose A and so he did whatever he could for his friend.
By the age of sixteen, A was overthrown with assignments and essays and absolutely sick to death of it, it was exhausting and he couldn't deal with it anymore, which forced him to abuse B until he begged for his life, telling A he would do anything for him if he just stopped, at which point A simply asked with a smirk along his face; 'I want you to kill L for me.' and of course, B, being the good little dog he was, laced L's tea with arsenic, causing L to die horribly and that forced A to be number one. Unlike A, B sunk into the depths of depression and started to cling onto A, who was now L but that didn't settle with A, who abused his power for a very long time and would shove him off, give him the cold shoulder, and then one day B came to A and slumped on his knees, hands clasped together like he was in a prayer and started to beg for any sort of acknowledgment. What could A do? Just betray his best and only friend?
Easier than what others may think.
A leaned down to his best friend and pressed his lips against B's, whose eyes widened in shock - but that could possibly only be the reaction to his neck snapping in two when A did so. Of course A wasn't as perfect as he would have liked to have been, such a stupid death for such a pretty boy and A thought it would only be nice to decorate the cold corpse with ribbons and hang the carcass to the bell tower for all to see and love. There was guilt in A, of course, he killed his idol and his best friend, but he only leaned against his chair with a sigh, stretching and fumbling with his ribbons, and then in the year 2004 he got news about Kira and being the great detective he was he had to find out about this Kira, didn't he?
After all, it wouldn't be nice if there was someone with more power than the greatest detective.
So he started the case the same way L did to start off with until the point at which Light Yagami became the prime suspect was reached, but A, unlike L, wanted the power that Kira had, he wanted to be more important than anyone else and really, he just didn't want to disappoint L with being a failure in his eyes, even though that man was rotting in the ground. A would do anything to get Light caught and so he sent agents in to spy on the house from the inside out but that didn't go so well - but then the report of Misa came up about her being the second Kira. So A went to personally introduce himself to her, trying to win her heart in every way possible - and soon enough they fell in love, or Misa did anyway. But Misa only loved Kira, right? It was simple to say that A set up a play in which when Misa and A had a private interview, during which A proved that he was Kira by setting up one of his agents to collapse in front of them both and that instantly made Misa give her notebook to A, guess it could be easy to say that Misa simply missed A's existing lifespan due to excitement.
A started to spread a rumour about there being a third Kira - that was a good excuse to set Misa on Light, bugged and everything with a small camera. She introduced herself as the second Kira but that didn't do good for Light at all and he ended up killing her. The next day Light was found and arrested, then lead to a meeting with A and was given one choice as A showed Light Misa's notebook which was his now. It was for both of them to make a better world. The agents were obviously confused by this but they were eliminated anyway. With the news of the agents dead and possibly A, back at the orphanage they sent out Near and Mello to see as to what happened but they never got along while Light and A were in hiding.
Oddly enough, A knew the news as to what happened with Near and Mello sent out and A also knew that Mello would be a better bet to befriend considering his loyalty to L and so it happened, Light, Mello, A joined the mafia while they were still killing those criminals or anyone that was in the way. They were living the high Yakuza life in Tokyo at the time but Near wasn't oh so stupid to not figure out what had happened and started to burrow himself deeply into the underground, Light was caught unfortunately but A did hire the best lawyer in Japan, Mikami Teru, and Light got off due to lack of evidence. A knew that it was Near they were looking for and he was hiding out with the SPK which was easy to find, after all, Mello and Halle did keep in contact, didn't they?
A didn't know Near's name though, such a shame and it would be stupid for the greatest detective to sacrifice half of his life-span to take up the shinigami eyes, also Light was his second-hand man and the true bringer of death so that meant that Mikami had to do the deal and he did it willingly, it was for justice as he said. Mello found the location of Near fairly easily and plus, A did own half of the Yakuza, so storming the place was absolutely no problem, they could have shot their way through. A plan was needed for such an undertaking and to eliminate the place and for A to be the most powerful almost god-like being in the world. Half of the Yakuza was with A while the other half was the bomb the place to hell. It would have been easy to blow Near's head off but for the fact that writing down any cause of death was much more hilarious. Mikami gave A Near's name and Near died of clawing his own skin off and disembowelling himself. After that, no one came after them and A lived as Kira.
