I kind of love this show dispite myself. Like, I know I probably shouldn't enjoy it as much as I do, but I can't help it.
I think it really helped to have Jess say 'Screw you guys. I'm gonna go and be my awesome self.' Atleast she acknowledges how they treat her.
+ More of Jess and Winston broing around please, because there needs to be some normality in the sea of quirk. Yes! And I'm liking Winston more than Damon Wayans Jr.'s character.
I so want them to be this big, happy foursome family before people start getting paired off. It's sweet.
I did like that she acknowledged how they treat her, but at the same time...I don't know; it's there in the script too. Like, Jess realizes that the guys treat her like crap, but the writers have her being distracted by a basketball and bubbles, like she IS a child...I don't know how to phrase why that bothers me. I apparently have complicated emotions about a show that involves fake prop teeth and freak sandwiches with eight-year olds, hahaha.
Yes, I like Winston more than Coach too, but most reviewers seem to feel the opposite. Coach was funny, but Winston is less...out there. We need a little bit of "normal" quirkiness to even out the zaniness of Jess and Schmidt.
And I need more of Jess-boys bonding stat. Friends-becoming-family is one of my FAVORITE tropes.
You're right about the plots being pretty much the same - it needs a little more variation. But it's still so cute! :D The slow motion chicken dancing was awesome. And cutting up her underwear, LOL! xD
It is so cute! Now that the show's been picked up for a full season, I'm hoping the writers will start experimenting more with the plot/story structure.
