As I look around for people to say hello to, I notice a girl, sitting off by herself. I feel sad for her, at a party like this, she should be out making new friends, not off on her own.
I quietly walk up to her, and with a smile on my face I gently say, "Hey, I don't think we've met. I'm Tracy." I try not to startle her. She's probably a little shy, the last thing I'd want to do is make her uncomfortable.
"I believe you and I were put in the same apartment! That's what it said on the letter I was given. I just moved in today, I was hoping I'd meet you here."
I give her a warm smile. "It's very nice to meet you, too!"
I'd made it my mission to try and meet some of the other agents tonight, and I'm going to live up to that. I see a very energetic, peppy looking girl who seems to be one of the more social people attending the event. I might as well start with her!
"Hi," I walk up to her, giving her a warm smile. "This is a pretty nice party, huh?"
I raise an eyebrow as I watch her talk a mile a minute.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Daphne!" I smile at her, not able to help but be amused by her antics. I'd say she probably had quite a bit of that punch to drink, I can't imagine anyone could be normally like this!
"I'll watch out for the punch. And maybe! That song's a classic, I have to admit, I don't really know the dance though!"
What a surprise! Right after joining The Company, they decide to throw a new agents party. I think it’s a great idea, with a little luck maybe I’ll make some new friends tonight! Or at least some acquaintances.
I walk through the doors and head in, with Peter exploding_hero not far behind me. I didn’t want to walk in alone, so it’s nice to have him there. I worry a little about Elle ellectricbitch walking into the party without me, but she wasn’t ready on time so I had to leave her. No way am I showing up late to the first Company event I’m attending! Niki xxxnikki4u agreed to stay with her and come to the party with her, which is good. I hope Elle doesn’t give her too hard of a time though.
It seems like we’re a little early, not too many people are here yet. Hopefully more people arrive soon! I’m really looking forward to meeting the others. I start walking around, looking for someone to talk to.
"BARBARA!" I'm happy to see her, even if she did ditch me for wonder boy. "How are you liking the party?" I take a sip of the margarita I had gotten at the bar. "You should try one of these, I love them."
"Hey! I'm liking the party alright, I've met some new people which is always a good thing. Have you met anyone yet?" I take a look at the margarita she's carrying. "I think I should too. Show me where you got that!"
"Yeup, I've met a few people." I grab her hand and tug her along to the bar where I order one for her too. "How's the boy toy doing? Seems like you lost him."
Looks like they’ve really pulled out all the stops for this event. For someone who’d attended many parties and events during my political career, I have to admit, they really did think of everything. I’m impressed.
I stroll over to the bar, ordering a cosmo. As soon as it’s made, I thank the bartender, take a few sips, and look around. I’d like to meet all of these people and learn what they’re all about. I hardly know anyone here. Not that that bothers me, I’m sure I’ll know them all soon enough.
In particular, I’d like to meet my roommate, Miso Shuu miso_shuu. I just moved in earlier today and still haven’t met her. I hope she’s here; it’d be nice to talk to her and get to know her.
I start walking around, checking to see if anybody is available to chat.
"You did! My triplet, to be more specific. There are three of us, I'm Tracy, that's Niki, as you know, and then there's Barbara, but her hair is brown and not blonde like ours."
I try to think of how to explain the situation. "We actually all grew up in separate households and didn't even know about each other until recently. It's been interesting to get to know them. And pretty bizarre, too."
"It's nice to meet you as well," I hold out a hand for her to shake. "I don't think i caught your name, did I...?"
I arrive a little late to the party thanks to Elle ellectricbitch, but at least we’re not too late, only about a half hour or so. It could have been worse.
I start looking around at the people there. There are a few familiar faces, but I don’t know most of these people. Makes sense, since I’ve only just become an agent.
Staying close to Elle, we make our way in. I try to keep her a little off to the side, far away from the bar area, though I know I won’t be able to stop her if she decides she’d like a drink, it isn’t like she’s underage. I personally won’t be having anything like that though (I’m a recovering alcoholic), so at least she’ll have someone sober around to make sure she doesn’t do anything too crazy. She’ll be meeting a lot of people tonight, and first impressions are important.
I take a few steps away from Elle, looking around for someone to introduce myself too. This place will probably feel a lot more like home once I’ve gotten to know the other agents.
After awhile, I decide to re join Niki. Spotting her across the room, I run up and tackle hug her, giving her a zap with a big grin on my face. "Niki! Did you miss me?"
As I walk around the party, looking for some new faces to talk to, I feel someone fly into me, and we both fall down, sending one of my high heels spinning across the floor.
I'm trying to figure out what just happened and who just took me out then I feel the tell-tale zap of electricity. Looks like Elle got a little bored. Or maybe it's just Elle being Elle.
"Elle!" I hiss at her. "What do you think you're doing?! You can't just run behind someone and tackle them like that! Especially not here, in front of everyone!" I look around to see if anyone had noticed. "Want to get off of me so I can go get my shoe?" I nudge her a little.
"And I definitely don't miss you now!" I sigh. I'm not particularly angry at her, but sometimes, I could do with just a little less excitement in my life!
"Oh, Niki. This is a party! Tackle hugs are acceptable here, don't you know that?" I get off her and toss her her shoe. "It's not like anybody here cares. I bet most people here are drunk anyway. The bar here is awesome."
