Thinking it out and thinking to not-think and it all running together - quite poetic rhythms - really effective way to show his state of mind! I agree, this could be how it was at that time. And the legs thing - nice touch.

This piece had a lot of nice imagery - external and internal to Sawyer's head. I also liked the line about him vomiting his soul. I hope you continue to write. You have a unique style.
To nomango~ I really wanted to convey the chaos of everything he had gone through, and the effects we can't clearly see in Sawyer's head. I like how well-read he is, so it's so intriguing to imagine him having these abstract thoughts.
And yes, legs! Sawyer has longs legs and a long torso, and when he falls it's a big mess of pretty!

This is my own little 24-hour camera, but obviously shorter way of continuing the small parts we don't get to see. He looked so scared and lost when he got back to camp, didn't he?

He's such a beautiful character, is he not? It's so wonderful to write with him, and I feel pretty secure about how I want to convey him. And hearing comments like these really makes me feel I've accomplished a knowing. I don't think if I had attempted this the night I did, I would have ever figured I could write like this.
