They must be training a new ferry navigator - haven't seen the bow on the LI ferry do this type of waving in a mild breeze with light seas...well ever.

Whoever is on the helm never heard of picking a focal point on shore, or else is over correcting for a tide change something fierce.

That sounds unsettling. I hope you don't easily get motion sick.

Fortunately I have had only one episode of that -- flew an internal flight in the former Soviet Union on Aeroflot in 1989.

Prior to that I didn't understand *what* other people's issue with motion was, so at least I have some empathy now........
