hey honey.. my take on it is.. you should contact people.. for several reasons. One.. you know that if someone were to randomly contact you out of nowhere from your past an old friend or something, you would be excited and welcoming to that. Two.. you don't know what could happen tomorrow, something could happen to someone and you could never have the chance to contact them, so do it while you can, so there are no regrets. And three, you will most likely get a good response, and if you don't then you don't,you really have nothing to lose. So i say go for it :-). p.s. if i may ask, who is the first love? i am glad you are having a positive atttitude and outlook , that i see from your post. :-)
The first love is Carlos, a guy I dated freshmen year of college for about a year and change. He's great; he is the sweetest, most thoughtful, and understanding guy I've ever dated. We broke up for difficult reasons; we could have dated for much longer, but we had major life differences; i.e. differences of religion, he wanted to get married young, I want to get married later in life, and he wants children, I don't. Seeing as these are difficult issues to resolve, if even possible, we decided it would be best if we separated. It was a very emotional breakup for both of us.
However, quite unexpectedly, he called me on my birthday. After almost two years of no contact, he remembered my birthday! We are seeing each other on Friday; needless to say I am very anxious.
