OH!!! Congratulations!!!

I don't think you're a failure for getting an epidural, btw. I had a posterior baby too last time *shudder* It honestly sounds like an excellent birth overall, despite the ending part of it.

and omg HUGE BABY!!! I bet she is beautiful, and I'm glad she's nursin' like a pro :)

if I had a crystal ball and knew what was going on in there, I would have had the epidural in the parking lot!!!

she's giant like a 3 month old!

I didn't even realize you'd had her. I'm so happy for you and I LOVE her name! What hospital did you deliver at if you don't mind me asking, St. David's?

I am continuing to send you guys all of the good thoughts that I can muster! I just know that she's going to pull through and be alright.

" I have a HIGH tolerance for pain and was NOT being a baby!"

HAHAHA. That is teh craziest thing I have ever read in a birth story. I commend you for listening to yoruself ultimatley and holding out for as long as you did!

Congrats! I hop eteh fight subsided.

'Looks like we have a kindergartner here!'

I am not sure if that was annoying/scary or funny to hear at the time... but it is amusing to read.

Yay non-pregnant you!!!!

That is an awesome story! it sounds like it went really well despite the pain! It makes me all excited to read that! You had pitocin with Solstice, right? Were the contractions (not the transition ones, the regular ones) a lot more bearable?

I did have pit w/ Soli and it was awful! All of these contractions were more bearable... the transition contractions were even pretty bearable, at first - It's just that instead of lasting 1/2-1hour, I was there for SIX!
when I did get the epidural, they had to use pit because my contractions went down to once every six minutes... but I already had the epidural, so nothing to feel.

Haha, I've done that before.

That's really reassuring to hear, though! I felt like such a weenie for getting an epidural when I was in labor with Aria, but they were giving me a ton of pitocin (and I was hooked up to fetal monitors so I couldn't move), and I just couldn't take it anymore. It was SO painful! Like getting hit by a train - each contraction was like the next train car, no space in between. YUCK! I'm optimistic that it will be different without the pitocin, though! Thanks for reassuring me :)

I didn't realize you were in transition for 6 HOURS! That is nuts. I'm glad you were able to relax with the epidural, though.
