Do you remember a few years ago in I think a different Cure community, not this one, some 16 year old made some sort of statement about the mod was a 34-year-old goth, so what could they possibly know about The Cure, and everyone tore them a new arsehole?

i dont think age should have anything to do with what music you like. Im 21 and love the cure. i cant even remember when i first heard of them but i know it had to be early because my dad loved/grew up in the 80's. My neighbor a few doors down was surprised to learn that i even know who the cure is and i think shes in her 40's.

I just saw the cure in april in vegas. oh and the cure must not be entirely depressing if my 3 and 2 year old love listening/dancing to them. then again my 3yr old likes gore and zombies.

I'm 23. First listened to the Cure when I was 17-18.

I'm a very happy person. 'Pornography', for example, gives me energy to face all the bad things that ever happened or will happen in my life. Actually, this album took me out of a depression. 'Pornography' can be seen as a suicidal album (as I've read). But I see it as a confession, a confession of a boy near my age, suffering a lot and trying to be himself again. Trying to find a cure. And I felt I was not lonely at all.

And I could go on saying forever how incredible and cheerful the Cure is. It's not only about the pop songs.
