[Fanfic] Right This Time

Oh boy was this a labor of love. Or of...something. This fic really got away with me. I mean, I knew it was gonna be fairly long, but I wasn't expecting it to take this long, or demand this much research, or...anything, really @_@ Though I suppose it's kind of a good thing that it did take me until today, as you will read as you get near the ( Read more... )

Oh, Austria/Hungary, my bittersweet guilty favorite...

For a Christmas story, it's somewhat melancholy. Not truly sad, persay, but muted, especially in regards to Austria's characterization. But it only adds to a much more dynamic look at the pairing, I think, from their violent past to Hungary's status under Habsburg rule to where they go on from after the Great War.

It's good to see fic from you after so long! ^_^ Merry Christmas and all the rest!

I think my favorite part about the pairing has always been how much their relationship changes over the centuries. They go from enemies to master-servant to passive-aggressively married to partners in war to being separated...they go all over the scale. It does make their relationship that much deeper, in my mind, when they finally just kind of...take each other for how they are. It's something I wanted to highlight in this here fic, and I'm glad that came across at least a little ^^;

Man, Hetalia fics are hard work X'D And school kind of ate me this past semester, but it was nice to kind of crank this out, in a way. It's something along the lines of what I always meant to write about. Merry Christmas to you, my dear ♥

After a while, I think you've said all that's needed to be said. And the rest just follows.

"...it was rather like going for a walk after a really bad thunderstorm: everything was quite fresh, nothing was particularly unpleasant, but there was the sense of vast energies just expended." -"Mort," Terry Pratchett

Gods above and below, they can be hard work. Even crack crossovers/fusions. /head meets desk

And let's not even get into writing smut.

It just. Everything requires research. Everything. Because it is SO REAL-WORLD RELEVANT. Ugh, but it is fun, when you have the time for it, in that masochistic sort of way :V

Hahah I have been banned from writing smut forever.
