I don't generally leave things like this public, but since it's icon related...

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

1.

This icon comes in totally handy when everyone in your life is popping out kiddos, but it's not at all why I made it. This is, in my opinion, one of the cutest images from the infinite cute that is X-Babies. It's also one of my very first attempts at cropping characters completely out of their backgrounds and putting them on another, and I still think it's a pretty good job of it. Plus check the look on babyKitty's face, she and babyColossus are so OTP even as toddlers.

2.

Made for an icon contest, but babyCable (how I love superkids) is perfect for those days I'm feeling oppositional defiant. You are NOT the boss of him, he's the boss of himself!

This icon is from X-force (early 90's dayglow X-force, not new edgy x-force). I have to admit that when I first read the Cannonball/Lila Cheney relationship in New Mutants, I hated it (I was still rooting for Magma to get over herself and realize how unbelievably hot Sam is... she never did), but right now they're probably my #1 couple in Marvel EVER (yup, they even beat Lorna and Alex). This is probably the romantic in me wishing that I had ever had that kind of relationship that you keep going back to, hoping that the timing will finally be right. This particular scene is when Sam should have said, "Please don't leave baby, Ah don't like that dirty trailer skank." (Unfortunately, he DID sorta like the dirty trailer skank) Out of context, I think it looks totally romantic, hence the lyrics, from Katie Melua's "Halfway up the Hindu Kush"
I kinda got the feeling,
I was floating to the ceiling,
Instead of looking at the sky
you picked me up and showed me how to fly

4.

This is Sue Storm Richards aka The Invisible Woman (or as I like to call her Mrs. Fantastic). I really love textless icons that still completely convey exactly the mood or reason when you would use them and this one just screams "THAT IS SO DISGUSTING!" I think Reed was examining bugs in the sand on some moon somewhere out in the universe where only the Fantastic Four would go on vacation.

5.

I made this in a batch of mostly Black Canary icons during the JLA/JSA crossover, and although I haven't really read much PowerGirl stuff, this turned out to be my favorite icon from the batch (and she really is my favorite from the super-fam). I adore the super bright colors and the "Oh shit" look on her face. I can relate.
