I just held out for my own script until RKO caved in and gave me what I wanted. I mean, without them, I was getting decent money and fame so they knew I could hold out for a while and they really wanted me.

I think that we can relate on this, you are type cast as "The Vamp," and I am type cast as "The child." The sad fact of it is that the audience rarely wants to see your roles change.

Do as much of what they want as you can stand (for the money), then take your art and run independently.
That's what I would do, anyway.

I concur. I'll deal with Fox for a little bit longer, but then, I'm going to badger them about a non-vamp role until they give me one.
