so i found out this weekend how badass led zeppelin really is. i heard this song, achilles last stand, and i was hooked. so later that night when i was coming back home to play halo slightly slanted, i heard it the way it should be heard. you kno i can't really figure out why i keep checking out books on time travel and worm holes and quantam ( Read more... )

thats beautiful man. whats the name of the book you're reading? wouldn't it be great to be able to control time, and move freely through it as we do space? then theres the grandfather paradox and the chance of getting stuck in a parallel universe.

the book is called Hyperspace, by michio kaku. yeah history wouldn't exist because we'd be changing it so damn much.

that's the thing, we'd change history so much it wouldn't be history because it'd be constantly changing, like the sands on the tide on a beach.

I prefer string and m-theory to quantum mechanics. The problem is that scientists can't figure out how to link the two together, or if it is even possible. But they're not one-dimensioned strings. They are 4-d strings that connect out univerise to possibly 11 other dimensions that are all around us but we can't see them. our universe is situated on a membrane that is out in space with many other membranes floating around out there. supposedly two of these membranes collided in spaces and created our universe. therefore, if strings really exist we would be able to see the evidence in the stars. Then there is the idea that membranes colliding happens all the time and that our universe isn't the only one out there because, where else would the energy go?
