hello kitty villa in hsinchu, taipei. this is a legit hotel. one night: $600.
"Crap," is the first thing out of Sungmin's mouth. "I'm going to have to pretend to be really excited about how pink this thing is, won't I."
"Pink is manly," Ryeowook assures him.
"Hey Hyukjae, hey, hey," says Donghae. "Let's selca and then tweet about it at the same time! I'll give you kitty ears while you make a kitty face!"
"Pass," Eunhyuk says.
Rather than dignify the situation with a verbal response, Siwon chooses to fall over laughing, clapping madly and taking Zhou Mi and Henry down with him.
"Isshocute," burbles Zhou Mi from the ground. "Butshverypink."
Henry goes for broke and just plays dead.
"I am not walking into that thing and looking excited about it," Kyuhyun says. "You've got to be kidding me."
"If you can look excited about seaweed, you can look excited about an adorable pink house," a coordi scolds.
Kyuhyun sulks.
Their manager swats his head. "Maybe you should think about that the next time you decide to tell the entire world your endorsement fees are negotiable. A fee, plus an all-expenses paid overnight stay in the Hello Kitty villa in exchange for an endorsement segment on your travel show is perfectly reasonable! Plus," he adds, almost reluctantly, "it's the only call we got."
Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk exchange looks of distress.
Ryeowook is already putting on his best excited face for the director, who is explaining that all the appliances, amenities, and furniture are Hello Kitty-themed. "Ooooh," he is saying cluelessly. "That's very handsome."
Ears perking up, Zhou Mi bounces up from the ground and dashes over to save Ryeowook from himself and listen to the director talk. Without the tiniest bit of contemplation, he also grabs Kyuhyun by the wrist and drags him along. Zhou Mi gone, Henry tries to flop back down at an angle properly reminiscent of a dead person.
Donghae tweets a photo of dead Henry. "Oh noooooo," the tweet reads. "Henry-ah!!! Wake up!!!! Ah!!!! A-a tragedy!! Nooooo!" Eunhyuk retweets it.
After a while Henry reconsiders being dead and tweets: "Y CANT IT Be AN AnGRY BIRD HOUSE??!!??? Cgixfcidtijgrhc" and "ps im not dead lol it was a joke guys :P haha donghae hyung is sooooo funny"
Sungmin appears out of nowhere and pats his head.
Meanwhile, Kyuhyun is trying to take a nap on Zhou Mi's shoulder while he chats happily about themed tourist attractions with the program staff, without much success. Ryeowook nods and makes periodic noises of surprise-and-or-agreement. Siwon claps all their shoulders and tells them everything will be okay and that Jesus loves them.
Nobody believes him.
The dust finally settles half an hour later. Makeup done and general instructions memorized, the eight members take deep breaths and prepare to react with excitement and glee over the ludicrously pink Hello Kitty house.
"I hope this never airs," says Kyuhyun, with deep feeling.
Zhou Mi hits him.
