2004 = 2 updates

Two things:

1) Attention cast of $ (and anyone else, for that matter): are we gonna do more shooting this summer? I have an idea for a new script and already have parts cast for Owen Scott and Morgan Sweet. And I still think we should make ¢. Holla if you're up for it.

2) Today I cut my hair.

Dearest Chap,
What the devil is $? If it is a filmation, I would gladly assist in any way you require.
Also, a collaboration of some sort would be splendid, simply splendid!
Cherio, and ta',

Old Chum,
$ is a filmation I made approximately 1 year prior to the moment I write this. Currently, it is only available on the Digitized-Video-Discus format; and, sadly, only several blokes own them.

However, a new collaboration between the two of us would, indeed, be splendid! We must explore this possibility further of crumpets and jam; or, perhaps, we could discuss matters over that new invention, the telegraph.

Auf wiedersehen,
Matthew

Matt--

The simpe truth, Swordsman-san, is that you need to watch Zatoichi and Old Boy at my place.

Also, the short hair works.

Further, I am going to make a ninja movie involving a "Samurai Code For Dummies" manual and ninjas jumping through walls.

We do, indeed need to have another film festival at your place. I actually just saw Zatoichi at Paul Hodges' house; simply put, I thought it was incredible. I probably would have liked it even more if Owen hadn't been yelling random things out, throwing pillows and jumping on me the whole time (no joke). I seriously need to see it again. So yes, we should set up another film festival soon.

Also, I think I need to request a cameo in your movie (which sounds genius, to say the least). Here's what I'm thinking: this ninja is sleeping, then he wakes up, flies, goes through a wall and cuts my head off. And that'd be like 2 seconds long, tops; ninjas don't fool around.

Are you a big Park Chan-wook fan? He's a Korean director who is currently making some of the best movies ever. I think you'd probably dig him. I'm waiting on my copy of Old Boy, which just won the Grand Prix at Cannes (I was surprised Tarantino didn't finagle something and have it win the Palm d'Or), but I have Sympathy For Mr.Vengeance, which is totally awesome. Aside from that, there's a good Korean anime called Wonderful Days, a Korean action flick called Resurrection of the Little Match Girl, and a Japanese period piece drama called Twilight Samurai. It's not chambara, the action-driven period piece genre, but it's still completely mindblowing. I consider it an instant modern-day Japanese classic ( ... )

Oddly enough, Paul and I were talking about Old Boy tonight; I have to say that it looks incredibly good, but in my lazy research (I looked at about...one site) I couldn't find a subtitled version. Where did you get your copy from ( ... )

why thank you!

although this is kind of weird, because my sister said the exact opposite. she was like "you look ugly with short hair but it isn't that surprising." and she hasn't even seen me yet.

Dear Matt,

please submit a photo of the haircut which includes your whole face. I would be very disapointed if you went through all the trouble of getting a haircut and didn't shave off that beard of yours.

P.S. I'm now reading all of your live journals now and will probably submit to the evil and get one myself soon... I'm just so bored...

P.P.S. was I in $ or was I in Costa Rica? I forget. I know I was in part of something... but anyways, I want to be a part of whatever you're making.
