I thought it was a fine popcorn flick. Mo more, no less.

Yeah, pretty much. I mean, the original Avengers was a very good popcorn flick, so I think it comes off as a huge letdown for it to just end up being 'fine'.

That's the realization I came to today-the first one was so great (to say nothing of the more recent Cap 2), and this one just felt like a regular meh action movie. Parts of it were fun, but more parts of it were disappointing, and the disappointments were largely in the places where I'd enjoyed Marvel's having separated itself out from the crowd a bit. *sigh*
