Sorry on the December Posting Meme. I've decided that my life needs to be Yuletide 24/7, so I'm working on a few treats. /o\ I fail at everything.

So I have seen the new Star Wars movie (twice) and I have lots of thoughts.

For lolz, I found my original thoughts on Revenge of the Sith. I have only seen that movie once and don't really remember

Being pretty new to Star Wars, I was not bothered by the Episode 4 framework and references at allll. As someone who hasn't spent a whole lot of time or effort dissecting or even taking in the universe of the original trilogy, and someone who enjoyed it more distantly partially as a historical artifact than connected with it emotionally, to me it was kind of a flashier, not newer but better retelling of A New Hope, while not being identical enough as to be boring.

Re Harrison Ford - honestly the only thing dangerous about pushing back his return to episode 8 is, you know, ultimately: dude's not young ///o\\\ I am glad they got the most out of him while they could...
