Meant To Be BadthedeereSeptember 5 2008, 18:22:06 UTC
Sure, I'll go along with that! But "bad" movies are an art unto themselves. Vis-A-Vis "My Mummy", "Illegal Aliens" or the classic Attack Of The Killer Tomatos. Such things are usually even more fun to watch than a "real" movie, hehehe
What's tragic is when a movie tries to be bad and fails even at that! This one did, in spades. It's just banal and offensive to the viewer. It's vitriolic and sarcastic. It was like being in a chair while a gaggle of monkeys fling poo at you, heh heh! Time to leave! So I did. :)
I have to agree with you about the movies this year. "The Mummy 3" was lousy, even worse than 2. And I've heard such terrifying things about that CGI "Star Wars" that I'm not even gonna try it.
Meep sounds like a sequal "Meet the Spartans" bad!
There's only two movies I've ever walked out on
"The Spanish Prisioner" ...Well, I was middle-school age, it was just so boring and pretentious-looking I walked out to see the Lion King again lol
"The Son of the Mask" It was bad... real bad, I me and a friend gave it a chance even though it doesn't have Jim Carry in it (I mean comeon he rocked the first movie!) We even made it through the unnecessary and horribly butchered Norse mythology insert... but when the Mask himself shows up we just couldn't take it anymore, ugh...
Meet The SpartansthedeereSeptember 5 2008, 18:42:42 UTC
I saw Meet The Spartans, LOL! It kicks Disaster Movie's ass. >:) "Stop throwing people into the pit of death!" hehehe
There's a worse 300 spoof than Meet The Spartans... It's called 305. It's about the few "misfit" spartans who were left to guard the goat-path... That one's NEARLY as bad as Disaster Movie only not so offensive.
As for The Mask, yeah- I totally agree with ya! Though Jim Carrey drives me batshit pretty fast. It's the ass-talking that does it. :)
Ya know, I have never seen The Lion King? I saw the little spoof Mr. Hankey did of it on South Park though. "That is the cirrrcle, the circle of pooo!" In case you want to see it, here's the Youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGbqfzZxFQs
