Life ponderings...Should I become a Doctor?

I have been doing a pile pf thinking and introspection over the past 6 months and I am really trying to come into my own.
I have been brewing a lot on the idea that I am living my life and meeting some targets but I am not entirely convinced that I am living my AUTHENTIC life. Conversations with all my various health care practitioners have helped ( Read more... )

I don't think you can apprentice...you have to be trained/educated. ND's actually have the exact same amount of schooling as Medical Doctors and you can't internship to be a doctor :)
I might be able to ask one of the ND's I work with if I could shadow them. I have been to ND's on my own as a patient so I have an idea of what goes on during an appointment.

Crazy thought and maybe not at all what you are looking for. What about working for an agency like the cancer society(just an example)but related to some of the issue you yourself experience. There are tonnes of agencies dedicated to these causes and you'd have first hand experience and might be able to find an area to work in that would satisfy you and make some good cash. Just a rough idea if you can understand what I mean

hrm...I don't think I follow...I work for a charity I believe in - I work for the Naturopathic College! I mean I work in HR s maybe you mean switching that up? Seems to be a lot of administrative work posted in agencies and charities...so if I am going to do admin, it might as well be HR cus it pays more :)
