In ARCH school we ahve been studing ossuaries and reliquaries, this is located in the Czech Republic town of Sedlc, which would have been part of the Holy Roman Empire when the chandelier was constructed, most of the bones were from people that died during the Black plauge and were placed in the church ossuary as there was no one to dig graves. After the plauge people were afraid to touch the corpses because of fear of contagion. In the late 1800s a noted artist, František Rint was employed to arrange the bones, he fashioned this chandelier plus three others inside the ossuary, a coat-of-arms, plus a bunch of macbre statues: here is a link to a 360 degree camera inside the Ossuary you can pan up and down as well as side to side to see the pieces: http://www.prague360.com/fs.html?loc=locations/landmark-life/kutna_hora_bones.p36
