"It's a thingy! A FIENDISH thingy! RUN, Ringo!"

Was this Jazz Fest anything like the one we went to at FICCI? That was rather good, except for that old hag you talked to while I stood there looking darkly suspicious. I'll bet he pinches stuff. Like pearl necklaces. Smoothtalker. Or maybe he was a spy. But he didn't extract any information from me, did he? I was too clever for him.

And I'm glad that when those brass bands murder old Hindi movie songs, they generally choose the really terrible stuff. When they do songs dear to my heart, I wince and my father pats me on the head, saying "there, there" till they stop. Except that when I'm actually AT a wedding, I'm generally too buzy guzzling coke and dessert in a remote corner, with my dad, to pay much attention.

yep, the Jazz Utsav is the spiffy new version of the old Jazz Yatra. extremely wonderful.

And I *liked* the old guy! He was really rather charming!

Hmph! Smoothtalker! He was an international spy. The Interpol is hot on his scent for stealing emeralds and pearl necklaces and other preshus jools. I think I saw a diamond pin in his cravat, too- probably got it off a rich bloke at a dinner, killed him by piercing the chap's jugular vein with the pin while he was helping himself to the pudding(the swine!)...and then made off with the silver candlesticks in a velvet bag.

Coo! Good story. Here, have a bit of the lik'rice water.

I really wish I could have been there.

Especially for that brass band.

I'll take you to an Indian wedding next time you visit (which is probably not for a few years, *sigh*)
