THE MASTER (SIMM)
PB: John Simm
VERSES
Main:
Canon/Open
Journal:
isitthesmileDescription: Canon and open roleplay things. Whatever might happen, so long as it isn't listed as a different verse, should be assumed to fall into this. I will play the Master during any point from his regeneration to his death in canon; however, I do not play him from End of Time or take it as canon. If I am requested to do it I will try, otherwise, I prefer to discard it.
A Matter of Degree

Journal:

The Doctor (Ten),
the Doctor's TARDIS,
Lucy Saxon,
the Paradox Machine,
the Valiant,
William Masters,
the Doctor (Eleventh [AU Simm]),
the Master (AU Tennant)Description: The first half of this verse follows the hell that is the Year That Never Was on the Valiant, and everything that happened on board. Then, instead of dying on the Valiant, the Master gets taken in by the Doctor. On the TARDIS as a captive, he slowly drives the Doctor crazy until he snaps and forces the Master into the Chameleon Arch. The result is the human William Masters, a mental patient under the care of Doctor John Smith, and things just get worse from there. Nothing after the fobwatching is done on the listen journal for the Master.
Catverse
Multiversal-based; post-death
Journal:
hardlyanyflawsInvolves:
Romana IIDescription: After dying, the Master ends up in a multiversal hub that is sentient and enjoys playing gently with its guests. One of the things it does is turn him into a cat. Then Romana convinces the sentient hub that he makes a better cat. So every once and a while, the Master becomes a cat.
Fuckedupverse
Alternate Universe as of the end of season 3
Warning for torture and dark material throughout this verse
Journal: forthcoming
Involves:
The Doctor (Ten),
the Doctor's TARDISDescription: After the Year, the Master is taken captive on the Doctor's TARDIS. The Master's rehabilitation does not go smoothly. The TARDIS is bitter and becoming slowly darker, the Master is fractured and suicidal and goading her on, and the Doctor is helpless to stop the two of them from continuing down the road they're on.
Gallifrey
Alternate Universe as of the end of 3x12
Journal: forthcoming
Involves:
The Doctor (Ten),
the Doctor's TARDIS,
Lucy SaxonDescription: The Master has Earth enslaved. The Master is also not an idiot. He makes sure to treat them well, to make up for the little bit of Archangel that's not infallible -- not wonderfully, but he's no tyrant -- and even treats Jack, the Jonses and the rest of the captives on the Valiant well. He tries to get the Doctor back on his side, mostly through silliness; treats Lucy like a queen, and treats the Toclophane like his children. And when his paradox is reversed and he's taken into custody on the TARDIS, he tells the Doctor he was serious about building a new Gallifrey. And what's more, he thinks he can break the Time Lock and get Gallifrey back. He convinced the Doctor to help him, though the TARDIS isn't thrilled by it. The boys work and fight and find something resembling a stable relationship and revolve really old issues. Gallifrey comes back, the Master is actually treated like something of a hero, if a very regrettable one, and put in charge of the Doctor, but when the two find out they're to stay on Gallifrey, they hop the first transport to the 51st century. Plans begin forming as to how to get the TARDIS back as soon as possible and get somewhere else.

The Doctor (Ten),
the Doctor's TARDIS,
Lucy Saxon,
the Paradox Machine,
the Valiant,
the Doctor (Twelfth [AU]),
the Doctor (Thirteenth [AU])Description: By the end of his first year on the Valiant, the Master has conquered Earth, killed the Doctor, and begun taking over the universe with the greatest of ease. The drums are pissed off by this. They wanted a war, not a slaughter. Eventually, they make the Master crazy and angry enough to alter the Paradox Machine so she can be used as a TARDIS. He goes back in time to find the Doctor before the Year began, and offers himself up as a prisoner. The Doctor is confused, and the Master is crazier than before and painfully aware he's nothing but a victim of the drums until he can sate them or get rid of them.
Romana!Lucy
Alternate Universe as of the end of season 3
Journal:
nogreatromancerInvolves: Lucy Saxon/Romana III
Description: One day, Lucy Saxon opens that old fobwatch she's had lying around, and the Master realizes he's married to the President of Gallifrey. He relishes in treating her like his wife and at the same time misses the woman he married. She despises him and at the same time doesn't. What their relationship does can't be called growing, but it definitely does something.

The Doctor (Ten),

Alexander Molokov,

Anatoly Sergeivsky,
Svetlana Sergievsky,
Yelena Sergievsky,
Dmitri SergievskyDescription: Instead of dying on the Valiant, the Master gets taken in by the Doctor in an attempt at reeducation. Between the Doctor's company, the TARDIS and her displeasure at him, and the shocks that frequently come with that reeducation, the Master is not pleased by this. Partly as a reward, partly to encourage good behavior, and partly because the other option was a dinosaur, the Master gets a pet Russian lookalike. Somewhere along the way, the TARDIS picks up a Russian chess Grandmaster, and proceeds to also pick up his wife and two children. The Doctor and the Master still aren't quite sure how their lives got to this, and that's about the only thing they agree on.

Both are a little unhinged and very dangerous megalomaniacs. Then one day they meet and decided to take over the multiverse together.
