themed dinners

Feb 27, 2006 18:26

I am looking for reasons to throw a dinner party. Does anyone here throw themed parties? or have any themes they think would be cool.

the demographic I am aiming for is late 20s to early 30s, 8-12 people.

Thanks

Well this is kind of last minute, but tomorrow IS Fat Tuesday, I am getting together a group of friends, and having a bunch of decadent foods kinda potluck.

Then you could always have an Irish themed dinner on the 17th!

people went for the simple stuff the most. I had dark chocolate chunks in a bowl next to some sparkling wine. that went well. A friend did some brie in puff pastry shells with different toppings such as a berry, the sneaker hit there were the ones topped with avacado. And one of my favorites, good with a woody red wine ( ... )

You could always have a "kiss me, im irish" party! St. Patty's day is coming up... if that is of interest :)

If you have multiple fondue pots, that is a very social type party food. Everyone has time to visit while they are dipping. We usually have one vegetarian pot, one meat pot, one for cheese and one for dessert.
