You get so many major cool points for listing two musicals and a million tim burton films. you are awesome.

i love your second pic. the angle is fantastic. its very close to high-fashion editorial. sorry, i spent two years as a model...

i agree with your stance on bisexuality. i definitely do not thing bisexuality equals promiscuity. i also don't think it is anywhere close to being bi-curious. i chalk those assumptions up to ignorance.

i look forward to getting to know you!

hey thanks! I look forward to getting to know you as well!

I was a model too for a short period of time, I model for art classes from time to time. I also dabble in photography.

I like what you said about bisexuality not being a "stage".

What do you think of the word "pansexual" people are using more now. It sort of connotes the same thing as bisexuality, that you're looking at the person not the gender, but gets rid of the binary of male/female to include trans/genderqueer/etc too? (sorry that question/sentence got out of hand long)

I think bisexuality makes sense for me, since I'm biracial too, and sort of in-between genders. Since sexuality and gender are fluid and dynamic it only makes sense to feel more comfortable with words that aren't so short and loaded.

What art do you do?

I have heard people refer to themselves as "pansexual." I guess I never stopped to really think about it. There's definitely a fine line between the two. I've always felt that bisexuality never really looks at gender, but at the person your attracted to. But since the definition tends to exclude those that are trans/genderqueer I can understand why we would need a word for that - or maybe a redefining of it.

I'm not a fan of labels, I feel they get lost in translation. Labels tend to be subjective, much like art. They are also a bit limiting. I say I'm bi because one needs to identify themselves in some way and I'm attracted to, well, who I'm attracted to regardless.

And on a lighter note... I'm a painter.

Labels suck because you have to use them to communicate, but they're innacurate... kind of language in general. I always feel like I need to say at least a few sentences about my sexuality or say "it's complicated" instead of just a one word label.

I've taken to just saying yes to anything that's even vaguely correct. Yes I'm a lesbian. Yes I'm bi, yes I'm queer, genderqueer, yeah sure why not? All AND none of the above. Same with race...yes I'm Chinese, Asian, Jewish, White, Multiracial, biracial, "other"... all of those, and also not truly described by any of them completely.

It's sort of the opposite of rejecting labels... accepting all of them... I am my own umbrella term? I don't know.

Anyway, awesome that you paint. I draw/write comics and poetry. You should post some of your work :)
