What You Bring To The Table
What kind of person are you? Describe yourself with four “I am” or “I am not” statements:
1) I am an introvert.
2) I am complicated.
3) I am eloquent.
4) I am (mostly) not shallow.
What are your major hobbies and interests?: I love writing and drawing, specifically comics and poetry. I love reading good books. I love talking philosophy with close friends. I'm interested in feminsm and the workings of privilege and discrimination.
What do you consider your biggest accomplishment so far?: My BS degree.
How much time do you spend on the internet daily?: wayyy too much, especially because I have my computer during classes
Are you very talkative? In a good way?: I am quiet unless you know me well... it sort of depends on my mood. I can be quite talkative or quite quiet and reserved depending upon the situation. It's usually in a good way that I'm talkative because I don't just talk to hear myself I actually have something to say.
Do a lot of people have romantic crushes on you?: Not that I'm aware of... a few people in the past, but it's not a huge thing.
Do people ever tell you you’re too serious or not serious enough? Why?: Sometimes I think I seem overly serious when I don't talk a lot, but really I like to laugh and appreciate people who can joke and not take themselves too seriously.
Have you ever been involved with rating communities? What do you think of them?: I had one stupid social experiment one, I guess I'm not anorexic or emo enough to be conventionally "hot" hah. I am fairly fond of dyke_riot because it's different than the average rating community--although I think the concept of rating other people leads to a lot of needless tearing down of strangers and can really damage self-esteem.
How much education do you have?: I have my HS degree, a BS degree in Psychology with a minor in Sexuality Studies, and am working on my first year of law school at the moment.
Do you think degrees and book learning are important?: Yes, although I don't think that they make you smart automatically. Intelligence can be found in all kinds of places (and so can idiocy), but I think education is empowering and worthwhile.
What is the craziest thing you've ever done in your life?: I had sex on my ex's car hood with someone else.
State a strong opinion or view that you have and can defend: I believe pedophiles should be put to death or castrated.

Let’s Get Personal
Would you rather be 20 or 30 forever if you could choose?: 30 because you're still young but people treat you with more respect.
How do you define your racial and identity?: I'm multiracial--Chinese & Euro-mix-Jewish... so I'm complicated. I'm both of those, I'm neither of them. I am "hapa" and I'm half-Asian and I'm never viewed as the same thing twice.
How do you define your sexuality and gender? How did you arrive at this identity, and do you feel comfortable?: I have become comfortable with the fluidity of my identity, and not fitting into one category neatly. I am Queer because it's an umbrella term, but I am willing to occupy bisexual and lesbian as well... they're accurate to a point, but I don't think they're mutually exclusive. My gender expression shifts from day to day, although recently I've been mostly more feminine. I don't identify as trans at all, and am happy to be female. I am getting more comfortable with the idea of "genderqueer". This self-identification has been an ongoing process, and I used to pick one label or another and always felt chafed by the confining quality of labels, so I've more recently gotten used to just accepting multiple labels and feel much better and more comfortable occupying that many spaces, checking as many boxes as I like.
If you could have one super power what would it be?: Telekinesis&Telepathy combined like Professor Xavier in X-men... you could really do some amazing stuff with that information and ability.
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?: 3.445
Do you have a label like “goth” or “emo” or “preppy” for your sense of style? What is it?: No. I like to do my own thing and it's not always a set way. I've changed my style a lot and want to keep evolving. I don't care what other people are into at the moment, I just want to wear what I like when I like.
Are you a vegetarian or vegan? Why or why not? No, I don't feel any ethical qualms about eating meat. Being omnivorous is part of what made us intelligent (prey animals don't have to be intelligent, just fast). I don't approve of wastefulness or inhumane treatment of animals while they're alive.
What are your philosophic or religious beliefs (in general) ?: I am an "apathist" meaning I accept that a deity or creator or something like that might exist, but I don't care. I don't think it's relevant to my daily life.
Make us laugh:

The Crowd Wants To Know
What do you want to get out of The Dinner Crowd?: I'm hoping this place gets really hopping and fun. I find that despite being in quite a few communities and having a fair number of lj friends that I am still bored a lot and don't have anything to do or keep me occupied on lj. I also really hope that some real conversations can happen about tough topics since people are required to be logical and civil. I try to start conversations like this in other forums but often no one responds.
Do you think highly of yourself? Explain why or why not?: I have pretty good self esteem and like who I am overall. I have my moments of self-doubt and dislike, but I overall I'm pleased with who and what I am.
How did you find us?: In my mind
