Sweet phone. How much does GS normally start out new agents?

In store agents typically make around $12.00 or so, depending on experience and qualifications. Agents at a standalone store(such as on Washington Ave or France Ave) tend to make around $14.00 or so starting.

Double Agents(in-home guys) tend to make around $18.00/hr or so depending on experience and qualification. Typically unless you know someone it requires one year In-Store experience to get a job as a Double Agent, but these days they're ramping up the number of DA's per store and have been doing some outside hiring.

Special Agents, we make a bit more depending on experience and qualification.

The pay starts out a little low at the In-Store level, but it's a necessary stepping stone if you want to move into nearly anything else. The nice thing about being a part of Best Buy is that there is an absolute ton of room to move ahead in the company, whether it is remaining in the field, going into leadership in any form, or moving over to corporate to support the rest of the Agents.

Oh, and if you're at a Best Buy store: which store you are at tends to have a little to do with how much they're willing to pay you. Some stores pay less because their Geek Squad precinct just typically isn't able to generate the amount of revenue that others can(like all retail, staffing is directly related to your revenue). I won't call out certain stores here, but if you want some more specifics you know where to reach me privately. ;)
