My theatre teacher and several local college directors want me to go all out for performing, but my mother is LESS than enthused.

Haha, your Mom probably wants to make sure you have a "back up plan," ya know? That's how mine is. She wants me to continue with theater but also wants to make sure I study something practical just in case theater doesn't work out (and I understand that completely). You're put into the position where you feel like you have to decide your career right away but you really don't. It's annoying! Thanks for the comment =) Are we friends on here?

I so recommend political science - so interesting. I'm majoring in politics and considering doing postgrad law.
I can't recommend this enough too - join the College Republicans! BEST thing you'll ever do. You learn so much and meet the best people you'll be friends with for life!
