Five, Tegan, Turlough, Peri, and I made it through the carnivorious non-rainforest without incident. The weather is simply beautiful, and I do believe I see signs of life just outside the forest. Let's go meet the natives ( Read more... )

I'll be there in just a bit....probably along with Evelyn in tow because you all can't keep from getting captured.

I rather think that getting captured is a time-honored tradition in the standard new planet meet-and-greet. Take your time, we'll be fine. I'm sure whoever is in charge is a total fascist nutcase perfectly reasonable.

In any case, my dear past self, don't you think the two of us can handle ourselves? Hmm?

Especially since the both of us have vastly greater experience in getting imprisoned out of prisons, by nature of being later regenerations.

Hey...watch that thing...

Bloody bastards...don't you know it's not polite to point or skewer somebody?

*taps Eight on the shoulder*

We can look on the bright side...if we're dinner, Iris can't marry you...

I'm not sure if death is preferable to marriage. Would you rather be eaten than marry Fitz?

*smiles widely*

I'll get back to you on that...

We could use marshmallows and make smores I suppose. The sticks would be perfect for that...

I'm sure once this is all sorted out the Arbrians will love to join us in a campfire. As long as we don't accidentally use bits of their ancestors for kindling, of course.

I *knew* this would happen! Didn't I tell you this would happen? *yelps as pointed stick prods him in the back* Come on, Doctor, I think they want us to hurry up.

Ah well, it's not all bad I suppose. Hopefully there won't be any of those plants over by the spires *sideglance at the forest* it's certainly good to be out of there- ouch!

*turns to glare at the native, notices the large pointy stick and simply smiles weakly* Hurry up, Doctor, they're picking on me again!

Turlough...

*sighs wearily*

Shut up.

*slightly panicked nod* Oh, good idea, Doctor. If we're quiet and behave ourselves they might be more lenient with us, maybe even let us off with just being lightly killed. Fantastic.

*through gritted teeth*

You're not helping.

Just stay calm, Turlough. *adds ironically* Brave heart.

*sigh* Here we go again!

Their leader better not be interested in me being his bride, otherwise there's going to be ... trouble. I am *so* tired of all these freaky-deaky ass-ugly alien bad guys getting the hots for me....

You're perfectly safe, Peri. Arbrians are notorious for their dislike of humans.

They don't like humans?! And this is supposed to be reassuring????????

Well, at the very least we won't be eaten. And no impromptu marriages for you, Peri, so that's a relief for you.
