Keyword Music

Since I've been meaning to put these up since I apped her: here's all the music I took Ine's keywords from, as well as a few words on why each piece is in there.

Cake - Short skirt, long jacket
I want a girl with the right allocations, who's fast, and thorough, and sharp as a tack.
If there is a single song that captures Ine's outward personality, this is it. Miniskirt, labcoat, four inch heels and pure business.

Something Corporate - Straw dog
Staring into the intersection, she thinks that she can fly and she might. Holding on in a new direction, she's gonna try it tonight.
In back alleys, underground tunnels, construction sites and abandoned lots, there's a part of society that the rest pretends doesn't exist. Ine may be a doctor and a tuner, but she's a storm rider too.

Something Corporate - Break myself
I'm willing to bleed for days, my reds and greys, so you don't hurt so much.
A song for every link tuner out there.

October Project - One dream
In this dream of life and death, I know so much I will forget. I know your body and your breath, I know your rhythm and your touch... I want you here. I want so much.
The Ring road connects riders to the sky, and of all the roads, it's the only one that you don't run with A-T of your own. Instead, its run with the A-T of others: from helping out riders in public parks, to becoming a link tuner, dedicated to the maintenance and care of one of the other road's kings. Tuning is, in its purest form, love -- and link tuning is undeniably intimate, creating a bond that, at least on the tuner's side, runs deep.

October Project - Something more than this
In the shadow cast as you were leaving, in the beauty of the ending day, there is always something to believe in -- something as I watch you slip away.
For those moments of gentle strength, both with others, and for herself.

October Project - Paths of desire
I have traveled the paths of desire, following smoke and remembering fire. The night is falling, the path is receding -- I don't need to see it to know where it's leading.
Ine has been a woman in love for a very long time. And parts of that are never going to change.

Something Corporate - Konstantine
And then you bring me home
'Cause we both know what it's like to be alone, no
And I'm dreaming in your living room
But we don't have much room
To live.
Ine's private life is a quiet thing, evenings stolen between days at the hospital, afternoons at Kururu's school, nights at the factory. Rare enough that she'll drop everything for a phonecall, and wait in Spitfire's lobby until he wanders home.

Something Corproate - Only ashes
And the wings that you burn turn to ashes my dear, and ashes just fall to the ground. Yeah, we're only ashes.
Ine and Spitfire. Because even the geatest inferno eventually burns out.

The Wallflowers - God says nothing back
Seems like the world's gone underground. No gods or heroes dare to go down.
The heights of Trophaeum Tower, the depths of the factory. A sleeping forest, roots curled around blood and bone, guarding secrets that should have been left to be forgotten.

Something Corporate - Fall
And I'll just fall, I'll let my heartbeat drop. I falter as the music stops, and you watch me as i stall, and wonder when I fall.
For hope in a new generation, despair at the old, and for the feeling of standing on top of a skyscraper, looking down, taking flight.

Something Corporate - Caldecott tunnel
Here with my problems, I don't need the light. They're bigger than darkness and darker than night. I leave on a promise of something that shines -- perfection ain't perfect
.... a leaver will find.
Ine's left behind a lot of A-T in her life, and she's proud of that. This time, after retirement, after passing on her title and her regalia, she just wants to leave something in people's hearts. That's all.

Bonus Track

October Project - Return to Me
you shine like the moon over water
and you darken the sky when you leave
now I want to know how to keep you
return to me
return to me
A human genius among Gravity children; a girl holding on to neutrality in the face of her own overwhelming bias. And yet, there's a quiet focus to what we see of Sleeping Forest's Makigai. The longing that will eventually fade into a comfortable ache is in full bloom -- and she is still young enough to be confused, and to reach out without thought of being hurt.
