Confuzzled 2010 report!
Friday
Okay, so after staying up all night on Thurday and finishing badge commissions and stickers, I got up Friday feeling like SHITE. Cai came at 11 and we finished off stuff, and then I packed. We set off for the con after going to tesco for... something. Caffiene and sammiches, I believe. Then came Nightwish and driving.
Then, we almost died. Literally.
The traffic was all slowing, and we had to slow down really quick, almost hitting a car. If Cai had swerved to the left instead of the right, I would have been crushed and I think we both would have died. We took a good 20 minutes to right ourselves and then we were okay. It was surreal though, everything slowed down and my hearing stopped as we closed in on the car. And yet all that went through my mind as I prepared for the impact was 'Goddamn my luck, dying on the way to a con'. Pfft. I prayed a lot afterwards in thanks though.
ANYWAY.
Arrived at the con and waited in the line for registration. As we were kinda late, we got to skip through to the sponser line and get registered pretty fast. We recieved our badge, con book, room key etc and then returned to the car to get the bags. I then went to the dealers room and Cai went to the room to drop the stuff off. Besides a mix up in rooms, it was ok. Then we finally set up at my table, and went to eat at the carvery, which was bloody good! Reduced price too!
Then we headed to the bar and hung around with Magnus, Sanicle, Darkoverord and some other peoples. Magnus is adorable, I love him <3 I gave him the original art of his fursona I did him in 2005, too. Haha ~ I also gave a few people that I found their badges, all who loved them!
After all this it was time to go to the nightclub in the hotel. This was AWESOME and I got smashed on the first night (oops). I remember seeing Loui in her pepper suit, evilsquirrel (and doing a running goattackle on him), littlewolf, skawolf as well as others I recognised. The hotel staff were LOVING the fursuits and taking tons of photos XD It was great. I can't wait to get mine some day! Didn't hang out with squiggle and loui as much as I woulda hoped, but I was here there and everywhere XD; Ended up raving like crazy and some very lovely guy gave us free glosticks ~ Got drinks bought for me USING MY LOVELY CHARM idk. My tail was grabbed a few times too, pfft.
I ended up crashing at 11.30pm though, as I'd slept around an hour before the con and just REALLY needed sleep. Cai went down for a bit to spend a bit of time in the fursuit longue with Skawolf, loui and possibly some others though.
Saturday
Got up 9am, had a shower (WHICH GODDAMN WAS LIKE SUFFOCATION) and then headed down to breakfast. I was feeling okay, not that much of a hangover, so I went and had an english breakfast. The sausages were literally swimming in grease BUT they were good, they tasted like german ones 8D
After that, I went upstairs to get my money box and stuff and headed to the dealers den. 10 minutes after, the sponsers were let in and we just cut out stickers for a bit. Business was really good and I sold a few sketch commissions, stickers and lots of originals! It got very crowded by my table though, as tanidareal (YES) was right by the side of my table.

Annnnnd Karen (fatkraken) liked my work so much she commissioned me for an 'AWESOME DINOSAUR' and then asked if I would do an art trade - my art for a FURSUIT. Yes. Only one of the best, if not THE best fursuit maker in the UK offering an art trade. Wow. I couldn't believe it, I really was shocked. So much I was shaking. I expected to wake up or something. Just fdskljdfd FFFFF. Wow. It only sank in that she was serious when she gave me her email and told me to contact her. Wow. Wow. Wow. I feel like I took a step up in the furry artist society then.
A lot of people tipped me and said that I undercharge too much for my work. Therefore, I plan on attending RBW, and I plan in raising my prices. I also aim to make prints for then, for the auction. I'm so honoured that so many people like my work! Here's to the future!
I also bought notpetrol/Muzz's art CD and both the UKFur and CF2010 shirts. And a TON of glosticks, HURRRRR.
After the dealers room, we walked to tesco as we were really hungry and didn't eat since breakfast. We ate a packet of scotch eggs between us and I topped up my phone and called my Kikas~~ <3333 It was great, since I was missing her a lot and hadn't had much chance to talk to her recently.
Then we headed to dinner, which was gammon, salmon and a bunch of veg. I had gammon, but regretted it as it was so salty it cracked my lips, which are still really really sore ;_; Should have had salmonnn. Then panthras asked if we were going to the pawpets show, so we did! It was GREAT (fl00fy was the greates thing EVER) but we didn't realise it was on so long, and we ended up missing most of graafen's metal set. Plus, the 70s/80s/90s night was on the SAME TIME so being drunk I swayed that way. Ugh, I felt so bad for Graafen, seriously ;_; I wish they would have done them one after another instead of the same time, like in CF08. Blargh, oh well.
Ended up very drunk and having tons of fun though! I danced with timduru in his ADORABLE fursuit (he is seriously one of the greatest suiters out there, he always looks like he's having so much fun) and we somehow managed to start a furry conga line to the music man song 8D Macarina and the usual cheese was on, and I had a great time! THEY EVEN PLAYED LADY GAGA, HURRRRR. At one point I ended up going outside and chatting to a random fur about why SAI is amazing and PS sucks XD Cai disappeared off to the room with someone for a while but then returned later ~
Ended up going to bed at 3am, but only cos I had to as the sets stopped. Sadness >:
Sunday
Went down for breakfast again but only had toast as I was feeling hungover >: That's what I get for mixing sambuca with beer >___> We took down sausage rolls though, so all was ok. I closed commissions until 1pm as I wanted to sketch littlewolf's commissions before then. I needed to wait for confirmation on them so I did a picture of a gryphon with a HUEG COCK. I wish I knew who bought it at auction because I want to scan it ;_; It took me a while and I was pretty proud of it! I also coloured a picture of Marcos and put that into the auction with a bunch of original inks and sketches.
Business was okay on Sunday, but it was really slow. Everyone was saving for the auction, I assume. I commissioned a Marcos badge off Shaggi, who had an AMAZING portfolio of art, and also a Marcos sketch off Muzz. ...Which I am gonna scan right now.... nvm scanner is being GAY so here's a photo. We got out a bit early and did... something until dinner. AH. Slept. We slept as we were exhausted. Also, I think people thought Cai and I were together XD LOL. Wait until I have the KIKAS to show off >:3 Then was dinnerrrr~ Which was good, and I made NEW FRIENDS. Seriously. A guy from Sweden (Wolfer) and a guy from Norway (BadgerKal) came up to us all HELLO, WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE OUR NEW BEST FRIENDS FOR THE NEXT HOUR? And we were all LOL OKAY 8DDDD and their ACCENTS OMG.
Anyway, we ate beef and discussed harddrives, IKEA, blue penises and the like and had a jolly good time. Cai was dubbed friendly doggy friend and I was friendly goaty friend. XD I love furries. After that, we went to the art auction and waited in line for 100 years before going in. All but one of my pieces sold in the art show, and two had gone through to live auction :3 Tani's stuff went for ridiculous prices, srsly. LIKE THE TABLECLOTH SHE DREW ON THAT WENT FOR £2000. Just wow. Anyway, this went from £45 and a sketch of Bran with a crow spirit went for £40. In total, minus what I donated to charity, I made £116 from the auction alone, and then was offered £10 for the remaining piece on Monday morning 8D
The auction raised £5000 to help the big cat fund, which is the highest Confuzzled has EVER made!! Just wow. I was touched by how much furries are willing to pay, and how much stuff was donated for charity by the artists. And when the bidding war started on Tani's tablecloth, it was elevating. I'm so happy I stayed for that!!
Sunday night was AWESOME!! We hung around with Magnus and Zuki mostly, and basically had our own personal party in his allocated room ~ Got pissed again and yeaaaaah. Drew AMAZING ARTS which I will scan and colour digitally ~ WE FUCKING RAVED TO CILLIT BANG. HELL YEAH.
Didn't take much photos in the con as the dealers room didn't allow photography, and then it was pretty much straight to dinner and then straight to the clubs.
Anywaaaaaay, CF2010 was AWESOME and I just wish I coulda spent more time NOT IN THE DEALERS ROOM, but there you go :/ I can't wait till next year and thanks to everyone for a fucking amazing con!! Maybe my bunny can come next year, that'd be awesome ~ MICK YOU NEED TO COME SOMETIME TOO, FURRIES WILL BUY YOUR AHRTS.
