TDO is cursing and troubleshooting (she only has a 24-inch "rip" capacity on her tablesaw, which is "pretty good" but bigger than the piece of wood she's "ripping." Or something).
Just for the record, I brought ALL the wood in from the garage and the truck.

UPDATE: Due to the rip thingie being too short, this last piece of wood was 1/8th of an inch too big. This led to the Hunt for Red Skil Sander. It turned out to be in the backseat of the Hatchback, the third car which is -- naturally -- buried in snow. But TDO retrieved it and she's currently --No! SHE JUST FINISHED SANDING and now this new piece is tightly in place. Oh. What a sweet little fit.

We're done for the day. Stick a fork in us.
Liz has run off to make chutney. I think.
I'm mentally planning how I'm going to run power from the outlet (which is below the first shelf) up to the upper area. I think some judicious use of power strips and small holes in the shelving will suffice.
A sliding compound miter saw might work better than the table saw for this particular project because most of the cuts that we're making are < 24 inches.
If ennyone wants to get me one for Xmas, they're about 600 bucks. ;)
