Minako pressed one hand against the wall to both use as for support and balance, her legs just this side of completely useless. Part of her regretted not letting Link use more of that healing potion on her, but there would be other people that needed it more, probably. Like that girl, who had been choked. If she could just get to her room, she would be fine ( ... )

This, Miss Michiru Kaiou, is what you get for trying new tricks on stage. What had happened exactly? Michiru didn't know. There was a disconnect from the moment she tripped during her turn, and the moment she found herself on the floor of an entrance hall. One minute she'd been practicing on the stage in her school's auditorium, the next she was running for her life from some crazy dog thing ( ... )

I hadn't seemed right to let that injured girl try to get back to her room alone. After Naminé had decided to help her in her original predicament, it felt almost wrong not to see it through. The only problem was that Naminé was not so sure how such intentions, no matter how good, would be recieved. Thankfully her own injuries were comparatively minimal; it was not difficult at all to follow after the other girl from a distance, especially when she was distracted by her troubles. But to Naminé's surprise, Minako seemed to have acquired the attention of one of the house's less hostile occupants. That seemed to be a good enough sign that she would be okay, but... well, perhaps Naminé would keep an eye on her from around the nearest corner for a moment longer.

Luxa's first instinct upon seeing the Overland girl fall into the room had been to dart down the stairs and hide - after all, she had no idea whether the Overlander was being pursued by anything, and in her weakened state the mistaken assumption of safety would be a life-or-death matter.

In the few moments after the Overlander's arrival, though, no monster or other creature appeared. She certainly wasn't moving quickly enough to indicate pursuit. On top of that, she was injured, and Luxa was forced to admit that perhaps attempting to hide in a place she knew little to nothing of would also be a very bad idea. She paused, half-in and half-out of the stairwell, and was at the point of reascending when the second Overlander appeared ( ... )
