Well, I guess the governor just doesn't like butt sex. For all you sodomists out there, even in mock debating, you had better keep it in the pants, else you might get arrested. Sorry. It's still illegal in Louisiana. Our Supreme Court shoots down every attempt to make sodomy legal. They've tried like five times in the last ten years.

How many people are being charged with sodomy in Louisiana these days? The Supreme Court's authority exceeds that of any state judicial body. Arresting and prosecuting people for a (private) act of sodomy would be an exercise in futility. No halfway-competent defense lawyer would fail to invoke Lawrence vs. Texas.

Reminds me of how Mississippi never officially banned slavery until 1995. There are plenty of laws on the books that have already been nullified and voided by a higher court, but legislators are sometimes just too lazy to revise or repeal them at the state level.
