I didn't even journal "I'm ugly," because I assumed it was my teenage brain and angst and possibly not true, until after that school counselor. That counselor had no idea how to deal with serious chronic depressive disorder as opposed to the average teenage depression. She pulled out the cards and dealt the wrong damn hand.
