the option of kicking something instead, which is something he seems particularly good at.
Perhaps you've got a future footballer on your hands? ;)
Good luck with the one-night-away-per-week, and enjoy the uninterrupted sleep! I hope this year brings some kind of acceptable resolution to the sleep problems.
Don't worry about the separation anxiety thingy. Isabel was HORRIBLE with that at fourteen months. No matter who left the room, that was the one person that she couldn't live without, and she'd scream her head off. I think the following into the bathroom thing is pretty universal too. Think of it as early potty training. :) BTW the anxiety thing has gotten much better by now at seventeen months.

as the gran in question - thought it right to put an up to date report in. ciaran came to sleep over on the first night, he slept till 3.30am after a little cuddle and talk went straight back to sleep. slept through the two small terriers running aroung the room at 7am. awoke at 7.30am and had a happy day. the following week - was put down after his ;bubble bath and cuddle at 7.45pm and awoke at 8.15am the following morning. bright and breezy. had a breakfast of shreddies (plain) and goats milk with banana and continues to have a happy day. he seems to sleep well in spite of the dogs and other distrubances of this household. we love him dearly gran and grandad (we seem to have lost our username facility)
