so as you may or may not know i only babysit babies, usually teething ones so i have a few tricks for you, if you already know them, well good for you :)
1. ice is amazing, you can get a little pacifier but instead of a nipple (hee hee, nipple) it has a little mesh bag to slip ice cubes into, which works like a charm. also, try freezing teething rings and stuff like that.
2. if he's wow 10 months old now, you're probably on to solid food now? frozen bagels are great when you cut them up into 1/4, then they can suck on them and there's something about the frozen bread texture that is soothing to baby gums.
3. now i have never personally tried this ( on someone elses baby not such a good idea, but he's yours) when all else fails, rum on the gums. my friend amanda's parents used to dip her pacifier in brandy, which not only helped her gums, it helped her sleep. although now she consumes a bottle of wine a night...
