I still go to the movie store next to my house though. I don't mind paying $2 or $3 for a movie because it still makes much more sense than paying for a movie ticket. Plus it's always nice sitting in my room with a fleece blanket and a $1 pop and a friend who gets to watch with me free of charge (:
random blockbuster customer who knows my name: hey, matt, are there late fees..? me: funny that you ask, barb, cuz there are NOOOOO MOOOOORE LATTTTEEEE FEEEEEEEEEEESSS!
i fucking hate blockbuster with every inch of emotion i have in my body. it is the most retarded company EVER. i guess thats what i get for working there....

Just so that this dipshit doesn't scare everybody away from Blockbuster for the wrong reasons: Yes, it's true that you get charged for the game/movie after a one-week grace period. However, you have another couple weeks to return it, less a $1.50 restocking fee.
In other words, you could rent a movie for a month for the neighborhood of $5. You just need to specify that you're returning it, and you'll avoid the purchase fee.
Some people will use whatever they can, however, to justify their grudge. *rolls eyes*
i feel like renting a movie has become such a dramatic experience. i wish blockbuster would make there 'here's a ginormous late fee u have to pay..oh wait just kidding u have another few weeks but wait we're charging u anyways, except u have another month before we actually charge u' policy a little more complicated. because then maybe i'd be motivated to go online and make an account to rent movies over the internet that take a number of days to arrive forcing me to plan my movie watching experiences far in advance as opposed to the routine 'i'm bored lets go get a movie' friday nights.
