tomorrow i'm going out to lunch with kristin to have a long and detailed discussion about harry potter and the half-blood prince.

today i ate a lot of meals out.

hey dana! i have a couple umich questions for you if you don't mind answering them...

1) how do you go about finding out what your textbooks were? and where would you suggest ordering them from?

2) do you know if verizon works inside stockwell?

3) if move in is the 31st, would they let you bring carpet in a day earlier at stockwell?

i usually just wait until the first day of class to buy my textbooks because the profs usually tell you which bookstore has them. i think most other people do this too...it's better because if you buy them before class you might end up with the wrong books or just extra ones you don't need. don't worry, you won't need books for the first day of class.

verizon isn't super strong inside stockwell, but it does work. i have verizon and a lot of the time the phone wouldn't ring when someone called me, but i wouldn't have trouble finding a signal to call myself. and if they leave a voicemail, it'll beep and you'll know someone called at least.

i don't know if they'd let you bring carpet a day early because i didn't have any, but i kind of don't think they will. you could call them and ask.

thanks dana! i thought that was the case for textbooks but i didn't want to show up to class and be totally wrong. and i didn't know if there was any way i could sneak my carpet in before moving my stuff in so i figured it didn't hurt to ask.

yeah, i have verizon and my mom is worried that it won't work inside stockwell and i'll have to like go outside in the winter just to call people. so i'll pass that info on to her. thank you so much dana!
