Recently, some friends have been posting about religion. They have been seeking themselves, their faith. Some have felt lost, others forsaken and yet others, betrayed.

Friends, I cannot tell you what to believe or where to find your faith. I can tell you I sleep well at night. I can tell you that I have loving and lasting friendships; friendships ( Read more... )

gosh, i believe most of what you believe! i had no idea! genderless souls, reincarnation, reincarnating often with the same groups of souls, all that. and the other souls in our "soul groups" are our "soul mates", a reincarnate with them many times to help each other out and learn from each other. and within the group there are usually couple of other souls with whom you feel very close. i feel this is truth because of various experiences i've had throughout my life. and where do the souls come from? i don't really think they're being created by anything but are part of one big energy source, god, if you will, and that our individual souls are small parts of that one big source. in essence, we are each part of the one (call it god if you like).

so, yeah! nice to meet your spiritual side. i had no idea :)

Welcome to the universe! I tried to express some of this in Roger's class...and got the chance to again as a TA. Some people get it, and some do not.

well, i would imagine that growing up in a strict christian manner would make it difficult to think of spirituality in a different manner. i think it also takes people who aren't concerned with fitting into certain molds of what they think society deems acceptable.

there are a couple of books out there by a guy named Michael Newton. the books are about how while doing past life regression on people that he acidentally happend upon the "life between lives." so now he regresses people back to the gaps between lives. it's very interesting. one of the titles is Destiny of Souls if you're interested.

aren't you already saved? anonymous April 11 2008, 19:59:30 UTC
give this a thought...

if you were "raised in the Catholic faith" and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are saved. As a consequence of that inward decision you confessed your sin and i assume were baptized.

so...no matter how much you talk of your customized faith, you are still saved. your name has been written in the Book of Life. the only way that you are not (according to Christ's own words), are if you commit blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. it's a tough concept for many one-time Christ followers who have in some way fallen away from their faith to grasp, but it's the truth.
