Went down to Seattle on the weekend and went to concerts by Panic at the Disco, Fun and Tim MinchinTim Minchin was my only first time there too. We'd seen Panic at the Disco in Perth some years ago and fun. up here in Vancouver a few months ago

On my first trip to Europe/Germany, I went to 4 arena sized rock concerts. My German was, and still is, rather crap but in the course of casual conversation before the show I went from being the crazy American to just somebody who traveled far for a good time. It was the first show I went to that erased any hesitation and shame I might have had about not speaking the language perfectly.
A big smile while rocking your ass off is lingua franca :)
