I'm too chicken shit still to light up. I lit up ONCE and spent most of the time freaking out and finally spinning once the flames died down a bit.
People who see me spin are like "wow you're really good, why don't you move on to fire yet?" (this is at the fire spin jam wednesday nights at a local city park.) And I"m like "Well I whack myself too much in the body and the face".
The response to that I get is: "When you start spinning fire you'll STOP whacking yourself".
Heh.
But there is truth in that I suppose. I know a karate school that uses wooden "swords" and not the foam covered stuff some place use. The idea is that..when you CAN potentially be harmed, you are much more careful. (Ofcourse being TOO careful can also be an issue."
