Our thoughts are that he just blew up after missing the last goal. He wanted to go out with one bang or another, so...yeah.

The thing is, after Henry left for cramps, he really screwed his team for the shootout.

Yeah, that scream he gave didn't seem like a normal, "Shoot! I can't believe I missed that!" scream.

Losing a team-mate to a red card always hurts the team morale, add to that the fact that he's the captain, it's over-time, it's a World Cup FINAL, and it was totally preventable, and I don't think Zidane's actions can be seen as anything but destructive.

Do you know if the only path he had for leaving was by the Cup, or did he do that on purpose.
