Loved the book, was excited to hear it would become a movie, and died a little inside when I heard who was cast.

I will go see it, but I can't promise I won't yell at the screen if they fuck it up.

Same here, to the letter. Rob is just not geeky in the way Jacob should be. Seriously, what's with casting him as a freckled, ginger Polish guy?!

At least perhaps the film might be nice circus fashion inspiration, but then I have something like this for that. (That looks like an abridged version of the Circus book I have, which includes obscure early Stanley Kubrick photography and retails for $200. I paid but a small fraction of that, of course.)

And is it just me, or does it look like the script writer combined the characters of Uncle Al and August into one character? Because August certainly shouldn't be wearing Ringmaster's clothing... he's not supposed to be in charge of anything but training horses and elephants...
