I just loved this. I'm not a big fan of Mohinder, but this made me love him. And the fic is written wonderfully and the backwards order of the scenes is perfect (and that's not easy at all, I guess you always risk to lose the reader if you don't make it work perfectly).

Now I have to watch the movie, I guess.

Thanks! I'm always happy to spread the Mohinder love. The backwards scenes order comes from the movie, and it was challenging to do. A lot of credit goes to brighteyed_jill for letting me know which parts needed extra work for clarity.

Definitely watch the movie, it is incredible, and easily one of my favorites (and it's a lot twistier than my little fic).

TERRIFIC. Really superb job. I love this movie, and I love this premise, and I love you right now. Masterfully done, integrating the highlights of Mohinder's S1 storyline into this structure. And damn, that ending. The use of imagery is excellent throughout, but damn, that ending.

Thank you so much! Please, rec away.

I love this movie, too, and when I saw the prompt at reel_heroes, the idea for this fic took over my brain.

Glad you like it.

Oooh, wow. Never seen the movie, but this is just such an intriguing concept. The structure of the story is amazing; I can imagine how hard it must have been to do that. Well-written and thought-provoking. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for commenting! It did take a bit of extra time and thought to make the story structure work, but there is no other way to write a story based on Memento. If you get a chance, you should watch the movie. It's fantastic.

I've never seen 'Memento' myself, but this fic is definitely one of my all-time favorites. For the following reasons: Superb characterization of Mohinder, especially in an AU fic. The air of suspense you create is intriguing and dreadfully exciting. And- most of all- Sylar is pitch-perfect. *toasts you*

OMG, this is amazing. IMO it's really hard to get the characterization down in an adaptation, but you did such a fantastic job of clarifying that these are Heroes characters and not the actors/actresses playing the parts in the movie. I especially love how you totally and completely got inside Mohinder's mind, and your descriptions of Eden's movements and her lines. Not to mention Sylar's characterization - damn, you really nailed his voice down.

The pacing is also awesome. This fic *reads* like a movie, and your descriptions of the bullet coming out of the gun is spot-on. Not only that, but the structure is perfect - even though I've seen the movie and sort of know what to expect, I was still on the edge of my seat because of the way in which these events played out. Also, gotta love the interjections of the facts about Sylar :D

You really did the film justice with this! *Applauds and adds to memories*
