Fun couple of days. Saw Son of the Horse Lord, a one-man show at the Winchester Street Theatre with Regina. The one-man is a friend of Regina's and the show was a series of stories about his days growing up on a small farm in Ontario, told in a very deadpan style. This is actually true about mechanical calculators and was about the only solid scientific fact in the film.

greentrilobite's friend Larry took a slide rule to a high school math/science exam on a very hot day, and was thus able to be all smug as everyone's calculator died around him; although I think those were electronic calculators whose batteries were getting fried by the heat.

the Sanders Portrait, which she says has passed all the tests so far, and is Canadian to boot!

I smell a rat - would any early 17th-c Canadian have known Shakespeare? Oh wait, you must mean it's currently held in this country.

I should have been clearer here, it's a Canadian family that owns the picture, and who are currently working on proving that they are connected to Shakespeare's family.
