I'm kind of obsessive when it comes to songs that I like. I'll pick one, just one, and listen to it on repeat for months. Literally...months. I'll ruin it, listening to it until I can't stand the sound of it. It breaks my heart that I'll do that to myself, but it is what it is I guess. The shitter of it is when it's a sad song. I don't understand

Me too, and usually it's with silly pop-ish songs. Last time it was that "harder faster stronger" song by Kanye West (??). Hmm. Don't tell Matt Ross.

I have the same general reaction to sad songs, hence I listen to at least some Elliott Smith almost everyday. the Mountain Goats are great for the sad stuff, too.

I am going to recommend a song, because I'm both misguided and evil. "Snow Crush Killing Song" and "Cold Milk Bottle", "Have to Explode", and "All Up the Seething Coast",are pretty close to my heart.
