I've decided I'll spend NYE in Berlin. Everything seems to be aligning properly. My Friend Krystov from Chicago is going. He's one of the few people I enjoy traveling with. Iberia? Wow, I bet's it's a wonderful time to go. I've been meaning to go to Spain for such a long time, but it's really out of the way as far as european travel goes.

We're doing Goth Cruise, which lands us in Lisbon. Since most of the flights that we were looking at connected through Madrid anyway, we figured that it would be fun to spend more time and just get our way to Madrid before leaving.

I go every year, usually alone in December. It's a strange thing to go alone. You see all the desperate souls trying for one last shot at redemption. It's a lot different when you go with friends.

I go there to gamble and to people watch and maybe to catch a few shows. It's more of a retreat, a place for introspection. It takes a little more elaboration than I can muster right now.

Damn, NYE in Berlin. So jealous. Would love to go do something outside the US for NYE for once. Never really thought about Christmas time in Vegas. That could be interesting.
I personally have always wanted to do Christmas time in NY city. That I'll be trying next year.
